    Impacts on Healthcare

    • On January 17, 2025, the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) activated the Emergency Prescription Assistance Program (EPAP) for Los Angeles County in California due to the wildfires. A list of the covered ZIP codes can be found here. EPAP will be active in California through March 15, 2025.
    • The air quality levels across California, especially norther California, have declined with the wildfires currently burning. Low wind speeds in the northern part of the state allow for the smoke and poor air quality to linger.
      • At-risk populations include children, the elderly, people with respiratory conditions, and people with compromised immune systems.
    • According to PowerOutage.us, there are over 56,000 customers without power as of January 24.
    • As of January 20, the only UCLA Health clinic still closed is the Pacific Palisades clinic.
    • Centene Corp, through Health Net, announced special assistance for members impacted by the Palisades Fire. They are ensuring access to essential healthcare services, including prescription medications and telehealth services.
